I think all of your bridesmaids should stand next to you. Some of these brides had 7 or 8 bridesmaids, and they have them all standing up next to her. Take for example the first image from option no.5, that's a picture of the actual ceremony and the bridesmaids were all line up next to the bride.
I recently featured a wedding with 10 bridesmaids (here is the link: http://www.bellethemagazine.com/2012/02/rustic-chic-barn-wedding.html), even though you cant see the bridesmaids at the ceremony on the images I posted, they were all standing next to the bride.
But, this is only my opinion. The ultimate decision is yours.... do what makes you feel comfortable. It is your big day!
